Work History
TiC Foundation
I am currently a Full-Stack Developer at the TiC Foundation, where I design and build scalable internal platforms that streamline operations, improve productivity tracking, and enhance decision-making across the TiC ecosystem.
During my time at TiC Foundation, I have contributed to the development of several impactful systems:
1. TiC Impact
A performance tracking and simulation platform used by coordinators and volunteers to model the TiC Summit process. I helped implement features for monitoring performance metrics, tracking engagement streaks, and identifying high-performing contributors through data-driven insights.
2. TiC Leaders Training Platform
An interactive learning platform designed to train volunteers in leadership, collaboration, and real-world problem solving. I contributed to building simulation-based learning systems and structured course delivery experiences that enhance practical skill development.
3. Lighthouse Pathways
An AI-powered career guidance platform that helps users identify their strengths through SWOT analysis and receive personalized career recommendations. I worked on integrating intelligent features that align user profiles with suitable growth paths.
4. TiCLearn
An AI-powered study platform designed for Cameroonian GCE A-Level students. I contributed to building features that allow users to upload notes and generate customized quizzes, interact with an AI assistant for explanations, and track their progress through analytics and leaderboards. The platform also supports exam preparation through past papers and mock exams, improving accessibility and personalization in learning.
TiC Foundation - TiC BootCamp
I served as a Web Development Tutor and Instructor for 18 participants at TiC Bootcamp 2026, a six-week, practical learning program focused on helping participants develop real-world technology skills through hands-on learning, problem-solving, design thinking, collaboration, and project development.
I guided learners through a progression from understanding how the Internet and Web work to building functional web applications. We began with the foundations behind the technologies they were about to use, exploring concepts such as the Internet and World Wide Web, networks, IP addresses, DNS and domain names, web protocols, clients and servers, files, browsers, requests and responses, and how the different pieces of the web fit together.
With that foundation in place, I transitioned learners into practical web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, Git/GitHub, TailwindCSS, and introductory React, progressively moving from static webpages to interactive applications and real-world development workflows.
My teaching approach emphasized problem-first learning and learning by building. Rather than simply giving learners solutions, I encouraged them to investigate problems, ask questions, experiment, read errors, debug their code, collaborate with peers, and explain why their solutions worked.
During the bootcamp, I contributed to:
1. Web and Internet Foundations
Introduced learners to how the Internet and Web operate, including networks, IP addresses, DNS, domain names, web protocols, clients and servers, browsers, files, requests and responses, and the relationship between these components.
2. Web Development Instruction
Taught practical web development concepts using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, Git/GitHub, TailwindCSS, and introductory React, taking learners from foundational concepts to building increasingly capable web experiences.
3. Problem-Solving and Debugging
Helped participants develop a structured approach to technical problems by understanding the issue, reading errors, investigating possible causes, testing solutions, and learning from failed attempts.
4. AI-Assisted Learning and Development
Introduced participants to the role of AI in modern software development and showed them how to use AI tools for learning, research, brainstorming, planning, coding, debugging, and experimentation while emphasizing verification, critical thinking, and understanding over blindly accepting generated output.
5. Design Thinking and Product Development
Encouraged learners to think beyond code by identifying problems, understanding users, exploring possible solutions, and considering how technical ideas could become useful digital products.
6. Hands-on Project Learning
Guided participants through coding exercises, practical challenges, independent tasks, debugging sessions, and projects that reinforced concepts through application rather than passive instruction.
7. Learner Mentorship
Supported participants through technical and conceptual difficulties while encouraging curiosity, persistence, experimentation, and independent learning habits.
8. Technical Communication
Helped learners explain what they were building, what they expected to happen, what actually happened, and how they reasoned toward a solution.
9. Collaborative Learning Environment
Created and supported a learning environment where participants could ask questions, make mistakes, experiment, collaborate, take risks, and push their understanding further.
I was recognized with the Best Tutor Award, TiC Bootcamp 2026, for exceptional teaching ability, clarity in explaining complex concepts, genuine commitment to participant growth, and outstanding contribution to participant learning and development.
Skaleway
I joined Skaleway as a software engineering intern and took ownership of Nvii, an end-to-end encrypted environment variable management platform, as my primary project. I inherited an already-scaffolded Turborepo monorepo (web app, CLI, shared packages) and carried it from partial scaffold to a functional product used in the real world.
My core contributions:
1. Authentication system
I built the device-based authentication flow connecting the CLI to the web platform, including secure credential storage and session management.
2. CLI development
I implemented the majority of the CLI's command surface - project linking/unlinking, push/pull with conflict resolution, branch and version management, rollback, tagging, and dry-run previews - along with the flags and options for each command, and wired the CLI to the web API.
3. Security
I worked on the encryption layer securing environment variables at rest and in transit, plus the device-authentication model that scopes access per team member.
4. Web app features
I implemented the share feature on the web platform, letting teams distribute and manage access to encrypted environment variables collaboratively.
Beyond Nvii, I co-supervised a group of fellow interns as team lead, and contributed to internal Hub projects and group work alongside other interns - which is where most of my collaboration and leadership experience came from.
I also gained public speaking experience through outdoor events and retrospective presentations in front of the other interns, along with knowledge-transfer skills from guiding and teaching teammates.
